Gene’s Green Machine

Anti-Inflammatory, Brain Health, Heart Health

SERVES 2

This green blend will turn you into an energized machine that can take on the world, or perhaps just fix something in your house today. The sweet mango and banana mask the taste of green powerhouse gems spinach and avocado for a refreshing mix of vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats.

1 cup unsweetened coconut milk

1 cup frozen mango

1 cup baby spinach

1 fresh or frozen banana

¾ cup plain coconut yogurt

¼ fresh avocado or ¼ cup frozen avocado

In a blender, combine all the ingredients and blend until the desired consistency is achieved. Add more liquid as needed. Serve immediately.

Bonus Boost:

Avocados are one of the best sources of monounsaturated heart-healthy fats and one of my favorite (and tastiest!) ways to add a boatload of nutrition into any diet. If I don’t eat some at least once a day, I don’t feel complete.
